About
Twenty-five years across the drug pipeline.
BigBio is Christopher Davis. He has screened six million compounds at the bench, carried a $1.2B commercial franchise through a $62B acquisition, founded and patented an AI-native biotech, and contributed diligence on fifty-plus seed-stage deals. The diligence rests on having done the work at every stage — not on reading about it.
Based in Medford, Massachusetts; dual US and Canadian. Before biotech there were mountains — every one of Colorado's fourteeners, six Andean summits above 17,000 feet, and the first documented snowboard descent of Cotopaxi. The instinct is the same one the work runs on: verify the ground before you commit to it.
The arc starts further back. He was raised on a family cattle ranch in a log cabin ten miles outside Anahim Lake, British Columbia — no running water, no electricity, beyond the reach of television. The childhood obsession was topographic maps and how information is presented; the line from those contour lines to Tufte-grade report design draws itself. The cabin is a continent and a lifetime from Boston, where he now works at the bleeding edge of compute.
The endurance shows up off the trail too: a single-day 253-mile ride in 23.5 hours — Bridgton, Maine to the Canadian border, down along the Connecticut River, through the pass beneath Mt. Washington at 11:30 p.m. under a full moon, and home.
Solo by default, not by limit. When a project needs a larger or more specialized team — regulatory, clinical, CMC, commercial — I assemble one from a vetted network of industry operators I have worked alongside for years.
Open to advisory engagements, diligence projects, and the right operating role. If you are evaluating a deal — or evaluating talent — chris@bigbio.ai.
