Who we are

bigbio.ai is run by BigBio, the consulting practice of Christopher Davis. Questions about this policy go to chris@bigbio.ai.

What we collect

Google Analytics 4 counts visits. It sets cookies in your browser and records which pages you read, roughly where you are, your browser and device type, and two events: a copy of our email address and a click on it. We use the counts to see what readers use.

Our host, InMotion Hosting, keeps server logs: your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. We read them in aggregate to count traffic and crawlers.

If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.

What we do not do

The site shows no ads. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. The site has no forms and no accounts, so it asks you for nothing. It sets no cookies of its own; the only cookies are Google Analytics'. Fonts and charts load from our own server, not from third parties.

Google API data

For the site's own analytics and keyword research we use Google's Search Console, Analytics and Ads APIs. They read data about bigbio.ai and Chris's own Google accounts. They never collect data about visitors beyond the aggregate Analytics counts above. That account data is not shared, not sold, and not used for advertising. We use it only to improve this site, and we delete it on request.

Retention and your choices

Analytics data follows Google's retention setting for our property. Server logs follow the host's rotation. We keep email for as long as the conversation is useful. To have an email deleted, write to chris@bigbio.ai.

To stop Google Analytics counting you, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
